Melbourne is the second largest city in the Brevard County, Florida. It is a culturally diverse and beautiful city. Its first postmaster namely “John Hector” coined the name of the city. An Englishman who had spent a major portion of his time in the city of the same name located in Australia. The city is rich in history and has many historical sites to offer.
Once, Melbourne was not such a big city as it is today. The two districts of Melbourne and Eau Gallie were combined to form the city it is today. Therefore, even today you can see some visible cultural differences between the two communities. The city has much to offer in terms of festivals, museums, architecture, art, and food. The Melbourne Man
Geologists around the Melbourne Bone Bed uncovered human remains. After close examination, it was revealed that it was a skull. This discovery sparked a great debate between archeologists and geologists and this is the reason that the skull came to be known as the Melbourne Man. Further tests reveal that the skull dates back to 10,000 BC.
Kate Upton
Kate Upton is an actress and super model. She is mostly famous for her work for the Sports illustrated Magazine. She has achieved much fame at a relatively younger age compared to her counterparts. She also has modeled for a number of other renowned magazines such as Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, British Vogue, Esquire and Vogue Italia. Jim Morrison
Jim is arguably the most famous resident of Melbourne, Florida. He is the pioneer of classic rock and roll. He was a poet and songwriter as well. He is best known as the front man for the band “The Doors”. He released several platinum albums and received much acclaim from critics. He is well known for his live performances as his vocals used to elicit chills in peoples spine. His lyrics were meaningful and he incorporated many famous philosophers’ work into his songs. Unfortunately, he also developed an alcohol dependency, which led to his demise at the early age of 27.

Most WWE fans would be delighted to know that James Gibson hails from Melbourne Florida. He is better known by his wrestling name of Jamie Noble. Jamie was a fierce competitor until he had a severe back injury that ended his wrestling career. Now he works as a producer for the WWE.
Darrell Hammond
Most people in the US have heard of the name Darrell Hammond. He is an impressionist, standup comedian and actor. Hammond spends a great deal of his career at Saturday Night Live show and also holds many records for that show. He is mostly famous for his impersonation of ex-president Bill Clinton. He has performed in many other shows as well. He is widely revered for his comedic roles.
