Why do we call it a smoking? BBQ? Well folks, that’s because it’s the only way we cook our food. That’s right, we do no grilling, we have no open fires like most of your BBQ restaurants have. Our fine meats are only cooked in wood fire smokers.
We’re from Alabama and we discovered that wood fire smokers give you the best flavor. It seeps deep into the meat so there isn’t one morsel that doesn’t have that great BBQ taste. And for those of you who don’t eat BBQ because it’s too messy, you can now eat it. See, our sauce is smoked into the meat. If you want sauce dripping off your meal, we can accommodate you, but for those of you who don’t, you’ll love our BBQ so much you’ll be back. You might even wear a white shirt!
So what kind of BBQ can you expect at Charlie and Jake’s? Well, we think we have something that will please everyone. And we have some awesome side dishes. Here’s what you can look forward to.
Do you have to buy a sandwich to taste our pulled chicken, turkey, or pork? Of course, you don’t. We are sensitive to people that want to eat a little lighter. That’s why we offer salads made with all of our signature meats or you can have a salad with your choice of a meat. You get your protein and your veggies as well.
For you hard core BBQ fans, we have a great choice of sandwiches and plates. In some parts of the country that would be called a “dinner” on the menu. So, what can we offer you? For you beef lovers, we can offer you prime rib and brisket. While we’re on the subject of beef, we also have Wagyu burgers. We know you’ll like that. And for those of you who like pork, you’re in luck. We have St. Louis style ribs, sausage and pulled pork. We have smoked chicken and turkey for our poultry fans and since we’re on the coast, we also have catfish and shrimp.
